In the Indian tradition, the auspicious occasion of Navratri unfolds nine days of devotion, dance, and divine celebrations. Amidst the joyous festivities, the eighth and ninth days bring forth a sacred Hindu ritual known as Kanya Puja. The young girls, considered representations of the goddess’s divine energy, are worshipped on this day. At SnehShilp Foundation, we embraced the spiritual significance of this ritual by organising a special lunch for 200 girls, symbolising the embodiment of Goddess Durga.
At our foundation, we recognize the inherent power and significance vested in the girl child.
The act of Kanya Puja is not merely a ritual; it’s a symbolic recognition of the strength, resilience, and divine energy inherent in every girl. By organizing this event, we aimed to create an atmosphere of reverence and appreciation for the innate power that each girl carries within.
