Creating Awareness about drugs and the harmful impact – Say ‘Yes’ to life and ‘No’ to drugs
Under the able leadership of our Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi ji, taking the cause of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (under the esteemed Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India) ahead, Sneh Shilp Foundation organised a run, ‘Shilp Aarambh – GIFT City Run 2023’ – A run towards a drug-free future’.
Drug addiction among youth is considered a significant societal problem for several reasons. It is a disease that requires professional help, and education, resources, and support are key to preventing it, as well as help young people who are struggling with addiction to overcome it.
Sneh Shilp Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness about the dangers of drug use and providing support to those affected by addiction.
The run took place on 26th February 2023 in GIFT City Gandhinagar, an event that brought together over 12000 runners from across the country who ran for the cause of drug awareness. We received immense support from Gujarat Police, Narcotics Control Bureau and GIFT City, Gandhinagar. Major (Retd.) D.P.Singh graced the run as the Brand Ambassador. Multiple reputed companies participated as sponsors and contributed their bit to the cause.
The Bib Expo for the run was held at Decathlon Motera. It was a on-of-its-kind Bib Expo that city has ever witnessed. It was a sight to witness the enthusiastic turn out of runners who ran for a cause.

Shilp Aarambh Heritage Walk 2023 – a walk towards a drugs-free future
Our second big initiative for the purpose of creating awareness about drug abuse was our Heritage Walk 2023. Our vision for the Heritage Walk on World Heritage Day was to create awareness and inspire pride in our rich cultural heritage. We showcased the beauty and significance of our culture and highlighted the importance of preserving it for future generations. By inspiring the youth to appreciate and embrace our culture, we hope to steer them away from vices like the drug menace, and towards a greater sense of national pride and identity.
Connecting our culture with our youth can lead to a powerful combination, where the youth can draw inspiration from our cultural heritage to shape their identity, values, path and life. The Heritage Walk also featured the age-old Indian cultural activities including yoga, folk dances, mugdar, mallakhamba as well as encouraged young enthusiasts for a photo walk, sketch walk, design walk and many more activities.
We had over 1000 participants in the walk and received tremendous support from Ahmedabad Police, City Mayor, Ahmedabad Municipal Office and many celebrities from the Gujarati Film World. The Youth Brand Ambassador for the event was Ojas Rawal who added fervour to the event.
Project Neenv
Our volunteers planted 65 trees for a cleaner and greener tomorrow.
When we plant trees, we plant hope. There is so much that we have received from the nature. Planting trees is like planting dreams for a better future. Giving is not a one-way activity. Nature has given us a lot; we too can give something to nature. With this thought, Sneh Shilp Foundation conducted a tree-plantation drive and planted more than 65 trees.
This initiative also spread the message of passing a legacy to our future. Riches, wealth and prosperity are surely the things that we want our kids to inherit from us. But these riches would be of no use if Mother Earth isn’t happy with us. To ensure a safe, clean and green future for our youth, we think tree plantation is the best form of legacy. There is no time to do the right thing. A seed planted by us today is a tree that our children will see many years hence.
Clothing Matters
Distribution of clothing and footwear in association with Radio Mirchi
(Read More) Most of us are blessed with more than what we need. There are some out there, however, who are less fortunate. Sharing our wealth of clothes with those is always a blessed idea. With the endeavor of professing minimalism, Sneh Shilp Foundation tied up with Radio Mirchi and urged people to donate clothes and footwear that remain as orphans in the closets. We reached these clothes and footwear to the ones who are truly deserving. Sometimes clothes and footwear are the best shelter we can give to someone.
